It was extremely hard to say goodbye to Donna and Chuck this morning. There were tears !! We have spent many hours talking, gambling and playing of cards. Oh drinking too !! They have become close and dear friends to us. They are very good people with huge, warm hearts.
We have learned a lot from you. You have been there for us so many times it's hard to express. I just hope we can see each other again soon. We will miss you !!! New England...subliminal message!

Our last sunset in Tucson, Arizona.
While we were staying in Tucson, Andy injured her right foot ! She was opening the refrigerator door and the dang thing broke and fell on her toe. She screamed like...well lets just say loud... the neighbors came running. I would have cried like a little girl..lol
Thank goodness Chuck and Donna happened to come by seconds after it happened. Donna and I had to preform surgery, cut off her toe nail, while Chuck fixed the door.
Andy was a trooper throughout the accident. I believe her toe is broken too. She is fine now, just hard for her to walk and put pressure on it ! No sledding in White Sands Natl. Monument for her.
VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED!!
Pedi should be cheaper now ! lol |
Easter morning Dee and Andy invited us to go to brunch with them. We had a great time with lots of champagne. We also had lots of happy hours enjoying the Arizona sunsets.

Now there is a "Hot Mama" |
It was not easy saying goodbye to them. I am sure we willl see them again summer of 2014 in Montana. Keep the light on for us !
Andy and Dee...no not my Andy...lol |
Brent even came down here to Tucson and stayed a few days. It was great to see him even though we didn't get a chance to spend a lot of time together. It was more of an Andy Parcel Business meeting.

This was taken for me.
Since we left Portland in December we have been traveling the same route we did last year. That all changed this morning when we left Tucson, Arizona. This was the look on Andy's face the second we crossed onto new ground.
Excitement or fear...You tell me ? |
Some things some readers of this blog might not know about staying on a military base/post/camp/station.
Re-treat and the National Anthem are played over the loud speaker at 1700 (5:00 PM ) and reveille at 0700 Monday through Friday. Cars stop...people stand, if they are outside. Military members salute. Some places, Camp Pendleton, Taps is played at 2300 (11:00 PM), Monday through Friday.
My plan is update this blog more often since we are now traveling new ground.
