Camp Pendleton = "Martin Sicard" lol

Today we drove around Camp Pendleton to find out where things were.  This is unlike any Post, Base or Fort I have ever been to.  It is so spread out !  They have many "mini bases" separated by 10 -15 miles.  So unorganized as heck!  Every where we went they never asked for Military ID which surprised me because when I was in the Army, for 21 years, they would always ask.  I guess they trust Marines more than the Army !  lol

Andy and I went to the beach to watch the sunset.  It is about 50 Feet away !  What a location !

The showers and bathroom are not the greatest. Not clean at all ! The shower stalls are for 6-8 men...talking about getting close to your buddy.  Martin Sicard might like this because he is a Marine  LOL  So glad we have a nice shower with lots of hot water here in our RV

While we were touring the base we stopped at the Base Travel Center and picked up some tickets to the San Diego Zoo at a good discount.  We will be checking that out tomorrow morning at 0900. The plan, as you know "Andy loves a plan", is to depart here about 0800 and spend the day there...packing a nice picnic to take with us.  We decided to go tomorrow because it is suppose to be 75 degrees. It's suppose to get cooler later in the week to about mid 60's so it's best to go when it's warm
