We met Donna and Chuck while we were staying at the Air Force base there in Tucson, Arizona. Hopefully see them too again next year.

Donna and Chuck - Fulltimers ! Retired Air Force..I am so sorry ! LOL !

So what did it cost to take this 5 month adventure.  I can only put on this blog what Andy will let me!  lol For some of you that know me, I would put every penny we spent but Andy believes that information is too personal.  So here is what I can share...lol

The average month costs were;

Motorhome Fuel        $420.00

Lodging/ RV Parks    $640.00

Car Fuel                    $153.00

RV Maintenance       $79.00

Propane                     $24.00

Grand total                $1316.00

Keep in mind we did stay mostly and military bases which saved us a few bucks.  We also stayed about 2  weeks average which saved a lot of bucks.  This is by no means what we spent. This is just the basics.  Not counting food / entertainment and many other things.

I would like to thank all the our family and friends that have followed this little blog.  We have had over 6000 visitors from over 50 countries world wide.  This blog is not over yet though !  We will continue to update as we travel.

Hot Springs...Idaho ! Game Crossing !!!!

We are, and have been, in Boise, Idaho since Wednesday.  We should be leaving Tuesday morning unless I need to take off for Colorado. Brent and Adam's Grandma just passed away today so everything is kind of on hold.  I am waiting to find out what the family plan is.  Most likely, Andy will drive the car back to Portland and my boys will meet me here with my truck and then we will drive to Colorado.   I will  pickup the RV when I come back this way.  Time will tell !

Yesterday we decided to take a day trip to Lowman, Idaho to play in Kirkham Hot Springs ! The trip was about an hour or so drive and was about 60 degrees with overcast skies.  Typical northwest weather !

I would like to raft this river !

Hot waterfall !
My weekly shower... if I needed it or not !  Glad it was hot this time !
Hot springs... fresh and clear..no sulfur smell.. next to a roaring river

On the way back it started to rain and snow...yes I said "snow" !  Yucky. We did see about 100 head of elk along side the road and in the mountain pastures.

We saw this traffic sign.  Of course I think of wild game, as in animals!   Not Andy ! She thinks of something completely different.

This is what popped in her head...  Sometimes I  wonder if she is all there !  How strange is this (she) !  You tell me !  I am not kidding or teasing...this is what she really thought when she saw that sign ! LOL  Just got to love her !

Run game pieces run ...look out shoe and hat..car almost hit you !  HUH !

Tonight we are having Michelle and Pete, Andy's daughter and her man honey...lol, over for dinner...Andy is real excited !  They are wonderful people and enjoy them very much.  Thursday night we went over to their place for dinner. It was yummy !  Last night we went and looked at their new house they are getting....very nice.  Afterwards, we went out for pizza.  Finally, I had pizza !

Arched National Park in Moab, Utah

This morning we departed Moab, Utah and are now at Hill Air Force Base just north of Ogden, Utah. Chuck and Donna we just had to get that FamCamp Book stamped..lol  We plan on leaving here tomorrow morning heading for Boise, Idaho. We should be in Boise, Idaho Thursday afternoon.  It was nice meeting you Kevin, maybe our paths will cross again,  keep in touch from time to time.

Visiting Arches National Park was great !  We didn't have a chance to visit Canyonland National Park but we will next time.  But to be completely honest...we are tired of looking at rocks..Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley and Arches National Park..LOL  I want to see my rafting and fishing rivers now with family and friends.  Well not as soon as I thought though ! I just found out yesterday that Brent, Adam and I will have to take trip to Colorado for family when I get back in 12 days.

Double Arch

I just had to climb up the dang thing..Of course Andy Freaking ..lol
Delicate Arch
"Broken Arch" but it doesn't look broken to me !

Off the path...shame shame on me !
Break time !  Andy always has Water !  See !!!

Sand Arch

I don't know Arch !  lol

What a contrast from where we are and where we are going.

I know I am going to miss the sun and warm southern temperatures !
