Sedona and Grand Canyon, Arizona

We arrived in Sedona, Arizona on Sunday late morning.  We are staying at Cave Springs Campground in the National Forrest along highway 89A. We don't have any hookups, Internet or even cell phone service.  Right now at a Starbucks having a morning coffee and catching up with Emails and blog.  We brought a full tank of propane and 1/2 tank of water, 50 gallons, so we should be fine until we leave Friday morning.  Since I have a "America Passport" the camping fees are half price...$9 a day...how cheap is that !

The drive to the Campgrounds after we left Interstate 17 was a little tight but we really had no problem after we disconnected Andy's car..."the toad".

All smiles and notice the "Seahawk Hat" Adam !
Sedona is a very beautiful place and I can see why people pay lots of cash to live here.  We will be spending the next three days exploring the area.  We took a few pictures as we were coming into town.

Andy finally gets to "Camp" !  The first thing she did was get a campfire going ! The temp was between 80-85 degrees.  I wonder how Chuck and Donna are doing in Yuma...I bet it is well over 100 degrees.

Andy's Spot !
First things first
Fire dance..reminded me of the movie "Cast Away". she was very excited !  Really !!
One very happy girl !!  lol
Yesterday we took the day and traveled to the Grand Canyon...well worth it!  It's hard to express the thought and feelings when you first see it.  Words are hard to find and the pictures are not enough. If you haven't been here, you should find the time to see it for yourself !.  We even drove 110 miles to get there and another 110 miles to get back since we are south of  Flagstaff and north of Sedona.

Hang on honey..don't fall !

Hanging Tree
My favorite picture..I had to crawl to get this shot!
We sat on the ledge and had lunch
Getting Andy within 30 feet of the edge was a chore !
Colorado River way down in the bottom

We even saw some wildlife !   A California Condor and a very big Big Horn Sheep!  They say the Ram are not often seen !

Condor was larger than I thought they were
He is a big boy !
So what's next !
